THE MYSTERY OF SUNDAY
Sunday is seen as the first day of every week and it is
said to be devoted for the followers of Christ (Christians) to worship and
rededicate their lives to the ultimate being. To that, Sundays are to be holy
and just days, but, today, Sundays are known to be days dedicated to when high
level of pretense and so-called self-acclaimed titles, as you can see people lavishing
their earns for the whole week on the day and you see them with dressings and
smiles which are not their real blueprints, and they are looking all right in
the faces whereas they have dirty personalities inside.
On the other hand, some pastors, after swimming in the
worldly lives for the week, put on the Holy garments to the altar of God, and
within themselves, know very well their poor position over there; as they cover
the real selves to please the church members, and even though they might have
gone with canal affairs with some of the members. Moreso, some choristers after
their immoral activities, hookups, fornicating and other devious acts, present
themselves in church with the angelic looks and to performing the role in the
church, just to attract the audience and which is said to have displeased God.
Apparently, tittles are most honoured in church today,
and where some members blindly worship the clergies above scriptural recommendations
and some members activate yardstick ways of services in the sanctuary, and in
the other hand, pretend to be good and godly, whereas they are not good to
their families and other people.
In my knowledge, Sundays are to be holy days. But,
recently, Sundays are spared for underscoring dubious activities, and
generally, when poor claims riches and devious people claim to be holy. The
main purpose of this message is to bring to our consciousness the unnecessary
activities we engage ourselves to please another. And I do suggest, we can do
better in doing right and just things this earmarked day, and it will promote
the gospel, and to live in accordance of our personalities and as to the lifestyles
of Christ so as to be at peace with oneself and with one another.
